With full-page illustrations by Daryl Enos, Farmer Brown’s world of motley farm and country animals comes to life. But don’t think that only the illustrations will keep your child entertained. Jean M. Cochran does a wonderful job of using rocking rhythm and rhyme to create the perfect read-aloud story. Children will beg their parents to read this book over and over again—I know because my four-year-old won’t give the book back to me unless I’m going to read it to her.
